Job summary

Experis Technology Group is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer in Charlotte, NC to join a high-touch IT team supporting executive-level end users. The role demands strong customer communication, troubleshooting, and a service-first mindset to align with organizational goals.

The position handles software/hardware support, VDI, and incident management in a banking setting, with opportunities to contribute to cross-divisional troubleshooting and secure data handling practices.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience providing software/hardware support, server support, and Cisco technology knowledge.
• Proficiency troubleshooting MS Office applications, including MS Teams, Outlook, and Windows OS.
• Experience administering Virtual/Desktop/Laptop Management and infrastructure apps (VDI, patch management, encryption, antivirus).
• Previous experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of two-factor authentication; strong customer communication and service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide software and hardware support for end-users in a banking environment to prevent escalation.
• Configure, install, and test hardware components; support hardware deployment replacements.
• Support virtual/desktop/laptop management and infrastructure applications (VDI, patch management, encryption, antivirus).
• Back up, recover, and reimage user devices remotely and onsite; validate software versions and functionality.
• Manage incidents and requests using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems with accurate documentation.
