Job summary

IT Desktop Support Technician in Charlotte, NC supports end-users in a high-touch, executive-level setting within a professional banking environment. You will manage hardware/software issues, reimage PCs, and document events using ServiceNow, ensuring quick restoration of work flows.

The role requires 3-5 years of relevant experience with MS Office, Windows OS, VDI, patching, encryption, and antivirus, plus strong customer service and independent work habits in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of software/hardware support in a professional environment, incl. server and Cisco knowledge.
• Proficiency with MS Office apps (Teams, Outlook) and Windows OS.
• Experience administering Virtual/Desktop/Laptop management and infrastructure apps (VDI, patching, encryption, antivirus).

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support by configuring, installing, and testing hardware components.
• Manage hardware and software service issues for end-users to prevent escalation using ServiceNow.
• Perform PC reimaging, backup and restore user data, and complete device setup to get users back to work quickly.
• Install and validate correct software versions on devices, confirming functionality and resolving issues through structured troubleshooting.
• Document service events accurately in work orders and ticketing systems, including cross-divisional troubleshooting updates.
