Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks a Deputy Superintendent to oversee day-to-day operations and provide leadership across Student Services, Athletics, Title IX, Wellness, Behavior, and CMS Police. This role serves as acting superintendent in the absence of the superintendent and is part of the Superintendent's Executive Cabinet.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in education, a Doctorate preferred, NC certification preferred, and at least seven years as a district administrator, with

• Minimum of seven (7) years as building or district administrator.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education.

• Oversight of day-to-day district operations across multiple departments.
• Lead and evaluate programs and staff for district goals.
• Develop and monitor budgets and fiscal plans.
• Prepare data reports and analyses for decision making.
• Represent the district in meetings and public forums.
