Zanes Law Injury Lawyers is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to own day-to-day operations across Intake, Settlements, Finance and People, with real authority and direct accountability.

In Phoenix at 3333 E. Camelback Rd, this role partners with the founders as a true second-in-command, negotiates contracts, leads budgeting and HR, and builds KPI dashboards to surface performance. You will mentor department managers and drive cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in COO, Executive Director, or senior operations leadership role; law firm or professional services preferred.
• Experience leading people and processes in a large, nine-figure organization (non-corporate).
• Owns budgeting and HR function with real decision-making authority.
• Peer acceptance by attorneys, partners, or professionals in a professional service setting.
• ability to build reporting systems and KPI dashboards when needed (Excel/Sheets fluency).
• MBA, CPA, or equivalent credential strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations across Intake, Settlements, Finance and People & Infrastructure.
• Direct management of department leaders and contract negotiations within budget.
• Develop KPI dashboards and reporting cadence for visibility of headcount, ramp time and retention.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from design to completion; remove blockers proactively.
