Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in Michigan or waiver permitting Michigan practice.
• 2+ years practicing law in executive compensation, employee benefits, ERISA, DOL, or employment law.
• Juris Doctor from ABA-accredited school.
• Strong research and writing abilities and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional client service to corporate clients in executive compensation, employee benefits, employment tax matters, and employment law.
• Counsel clients on IRS controversy related to benefits plans, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and DOL compliance.
• Prepare technical writing and memorandums to support client positions and maintain compliance.
• Establish, develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients.
• Effectively manage workload and hit deadlines.
• Collaborate with other firm practice areas on adjacent client matters.
