Southern Company is seeking a Compensation Analyst to support executive compensation programs, including LTI administration, for the Compensation and Talent Development Committee. The role will analyze financial data, labor market insights, and compensation trends to inform strategic decisions in a high-impact environment.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years in analytics, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• 2+ years in an analytical role (compensation, finance, accounting, internal audit, etc.).
• Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint experience.
• Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, and executive-level presentation development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Performance Pay Program (PPP) calculation model and related analyses.
• Track and report financial and operational goal performance.
• Develop scenario analyses and assess implications for the financial plan.
• Support monthly accruals and annual budget projections.
• Prepare goal performance updates for executives and the Board of Directors.
