Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Director of Executive Communications to partner with the CEO and senior leaders, shaping internal and external messaging across high-visibility initiatives in a technically driven environment.

The role focuses on developing compelling narratives, preparing executives for public engagements, and driving clear, aligned communications across the enterprise to further Blue Origin's mission and priorities.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in executive communications or related fields.
• Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editing skills for executive content.
• Experience supporting C-suite or senior leaders in technical environments.
• Ability to translate aerospace/technical concepts into accessible narratives.

Responsibilities

• Define communication priorities and long-term narratives with CEO and executives.
• Counsel leaders on messaging style, tone, and engagement approaches.
• Ensure messaging alignment across internal and external channels.
• Own development of speeches, remarks, scripts, presentations, talking points, and op-eds.
• Develop content for milestones, announcements, industry events, and strategic initiatives.
• Translate complex information into clear messaging for varied audiences.
• Shape leadership voice in employee communications and culture messaging.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership to drive clarity around priorities and change.
• Support external engagements with Government, Media, and Marketing teams.
• Prepare executives for media appearances with briefing materials and coaching.
• Identify opportunities to amplify leadership voice across platforms.
• Build cross-functional relationships to reflect company priorities.
