Job summary

Constant Contact is seeking a Communications Manager who can hit the ground running as a versatile, high-output writer. From day one, you'll draft press releases, executive thought leadership, executive social content, and internal communications across PR, Organic Social, Internal Communications, and Employer Brand.

You’ll work with senior leaders on a broad scope, adapting one story for many audiences and supporting media materials and calendars.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in communications, PR (agency or in-house), journalism, or content roles.
• Proven record of drafting press releases and writing in executives' and brand voice across bylines, speeches, internal communications, social posts, or beyond.
• Ability to capture a leader's voice from interviews, past content, and feedback, and to take heavy edits without losing momentum.
• Strong news judgment and a clear sense of what makes executive content worth reading; existing media relationships are a plus.
• Comfort juggling multiple stakeholders and deadlines, and the judgment to prioritize while handling competing opinions diplomatically.
• Curiosity about the discipline and a low-ego, roll-up-your-sleeves approach.
• Writing samples required; finalists will complete a short writing exercise.

Responsibilities

• Draft press releases and announcements with minimal hand-holding, including quotes and materials.
• Ghostwrite executive thought leadership pieces that sound like the executive.
• Write executive social content for LinkedIn and leadership team that feels authentic and on strategy.
• Support internal communications with employee announcements and leadership messages.
• Adapt one story for many audiences: release, executive post, and employee note, in the right register.
• Support broader team with media materials, content calendars, and short-form video for social.
