Job summary

Dividend Restaurant Group—Division Sullivan's Steakhouse in Baton Rouge, LA—is seeking an Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations of a premium dining concept. You will oversee menu execution, kitchen personnel, and ensure high-quality, cost-effective food production in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include budgeting, coordinating Sous Chefs and staff schedules, and maintaining strict adherence to recipes and standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of kitchen management experience in a fast-paced, upscale-casual/casual dining concept
• Experience recruiting, selecting, orienting and training kitchen team members
• Culinary degree a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversees data preparation for budgeting and monitors financial results to meet goals
• Schedules and coordinates work of Sous Chefs and kitchen staff to ensure economical and technically correct food preparation within budgeted labor costs

Adheres to standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation which help to assure consistently high quality and to minimize food costs; exercises portion control for all items served

Prepares necessary data for applicable parts of the budget - projects annual food, labor and other costs and monitors actual financial results; takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that financial goals are met

Schedules and coordinates the work of Sous Chefs and Kitchen Staff to assure that food preparation is economical and technically correct and within budgeted labor cost goals.

Position Requirements

Job Requirements:

• 3 – 5 years of kitchen management experience in a fast-paced, upscale-casual/casual dining concept
• Previous responsibility for effective recruitment, selection, orientation and training of kitchen team members
• Culinary Degree a plus
