Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee multiple venues and lead the food production team. You will create new recipes, build menus, place orders, and manage staff schedules to meet budgeted guidelines.

You will enforce food safety regulations, coordinate recruitment and retention efforts for the production staff, and conduct regular production meetings to drive engagement and excellence in service.

Qualifications

• Degree in Culinary Arts (preferred).
• Minimum of ten years’ experience in a full-service restaurant, catering, healthcare, country club/hotel, or cruise line environment.
• Knowledge of the food industry and trends.
• In-depth knowledge of Federal, State, and local food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple venues and the food production staff.
• Create new recipes and ensure the quality of food items.
• Build menus, ordering food and non-food items, and manage schedules that meet budgeted guidelines.
• Enforces all policies and food safety regulations. Coordinates recruitment and retention efforts of the food production staff.
• Conducts regular production meetings to drive employee engagement.
