Job summary

Resort Lifestyle Communities in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Executive Chef for our Independent Senior Living campus. You will lead a Culinary and Dining team, deliver scratch-made meals, and ensure service excellence in a luxury, resident-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has proven culinary leadership, a high school diploma or GED (culinary degree preferred), ServSafe Manager certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days), and basic skills in Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Proven leadership experience in culinary preparation, cooking, and supervising a team.
• Flexibility: Sunday–Thursday schedule, plus evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily culinary operations with scratch-made meals and presentation.
• Lead by example in a hands-on kitchen, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Train, coach and develop Culinary and Dining teams; partner with Dining Room Supervisor for service.
• Manage ordering, receiving, inventory, vendor relationships, and daily invoice entry.
• Build relationships with residents, gather feedback, and adapt menus accordingly.
• Create and maintain weekly labor schedules and ensure safety and uniforms compliance.
