Job summary

Whealdon Estates by Barclay House is seeking an Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate the dining experience for residents. You will oversee all operations, implement menus, supervise staff, and ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.

The role requires strong leadership, ServSafe and Food Manager certifications, and experience in hospitality or long-term care. You will collaborate with community leadership while upholding health and safety standards, driving creativity

Qualifications

• Culinary arts or hospitality degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of staff management in hospitality, restaurant, or long-term care.
• Minimum 2 years in a lead cook role or higher.
• ServSafe Certification and Food Manager Certification required.
• Experience with regulatory agencies and state food safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all culinary operations and dining department performance.
• Implement menus, supervise meal prep, ensure food quality and presentation.
• Create staff schedules, order supplies and manage inventory.
• Foster teamwork, safety, cleanliness and hospitality in the kitchen.
• Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrate excellence in culinary execution and customer service.
• Collaborate with community leadership to support resident satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and dining area.
• Support culinary creativity and innovation to enhance dining.
