Sodexo Live! is seeking an Executive Chef 1 for Yakima Convention & Event Center in Yakima, WA. You will oversee all culinary operations, drive menu execution, and lead a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences through top-tier food quality and efficient kitchen management.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, safety compliance, and ongoing training to uphold standards in a fast-paced event setting. On-site position with diverse event scheduling and nights/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in high-volume or premium hospitality.
• Experience in menu development, cost control, and kitchen operations.
• Ability to adapt to guest preferences, dietary needs, and trends.
• Strong plating and presentation for upscale dining or events.
• Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily food production across event spaces and venues.
• Supervise sous chefs and line cooks; foster collaboration and efficiency.
• Execute seasonal and client-driven menus with consistent taste and portions.
• Maintain compliance with culinary standards, safety, and sanitation.
• Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, and support cost control.
• Participate in training focused on techniques, safety, and procedures.
