Job summary

Makeready Columbus is seeking an Executive Chef to align the culinary team and drive excellence in all back-of-house operations. You will lead menu development, ensure safe food preparation, and mentor a talented kitchen staff to deliver a standout guest experience.

You will plan food preparation, control costs, recruit and train cooks, and champion our standards across Hank's Seafood concept. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and trend-spotting are essential to maintain culinary quality

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an Executive Chef.
• Leadership that inspires and directs a kitchen team.
• Keen eye for detail in food preparation and presentation.
• Strong food handling and safety practices.
• Ability to identify emerging trends and adapt menus accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
• Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
• Monitor food and labor costs
• Recruit, manage, train and develop culinary team members
• Give prepared plates the final touch
• Implement/monitor and document relevant food safety program
