Genesis Hospitality in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen, ensure high-quality menus, and manage day-to-day operations for a busy facility.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of kitchen leadership, Serv Safe certification, and the ability to train staff, handle catering events, and maintain safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5+ years of experience.
• Serv Safe Certified is a must.
• Strong understanding of professional kitchen operations.
• Ability to plan, organize and direct kitchen staff effectively.
• Must follow oral and written instructions.

Responsabilités

• Oversee preparation and service of foods in pantry, salads, soups, sauces, and pre-preparation of ingredients for entrees.
• Train and supervise kitchen personnel and coordinate culinary activities.
• Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food.
• Develop and standardize recipes and presentation standards.
• Oversee catering events and demonstrate culinary techniques as needed.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and proper personal hygiene in the kitchen.
• Directly supervise staff with hiring, discipline, and performance reviews.
