Job summary

Genesis Hospitality's Peacock Inn in Princeton, NJ seeks an experienced Sous Chef to join a dynamic kitchen team. This full-time role requires leadership and reliable prep, cooking and service across weekdays, weekends and holidays.

You will assist with menu development, cost control and staff training while maintaining a safe, sanitary kitchen that meets health guidelines. Competitive salary, medical insurance and a 401(k) plan are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience as a Sous Chef in a professional kitchen.
• Willingness to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to follow recipes, and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of foods in assigned areas including pantry, salads, soups, sauces and pre-prep for entrees.
• Assist in ordering, receiving, menu development, cost control and staff training.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment and kitchen; maintain sanitary workstation.
• Follow safety regulations and dress code; report injuries or unsafe conditions.
• Attend trainings and perform additional duties as assigned by Executive Chef/General Manager.
