Job summary

Christwood in Covington, LA is seeking an Executive Chef to lead culinary operations for our upscale Continuum Care Community, delivering high-quality, nutritious meals to residents. You will direct a talented kitchen team, oversee menu planning, sourcing, and food safety, and ensure exceptional dining experiences aligned with dietary needs.

You will collaborate with the Food and Beverage Director, mentor staff, and drive seasonal menus, cost control, and resident satisfaction through engaging

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu development, and nutrition principles.
• Strong leadership with ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor staff.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities.
• Creativity and passion for culinary arts with awareness of industry trends.
• Proficient computer skills for menu planning, inventory management, and ordering systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a creative, diverse menu plan considering dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements.
• Provide culinary leadership and create innovative dishes that delight residents.
• Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and high standards of food safety and sanitation.
• Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff; foster a positive, collaborative environment.
• Manage seasonal menus, vendor relationships, and inventory to control costs and minimize waste.
