PF Changs China Bistro in the United States is hiring immediately for a full-time Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager to lead the culinary team and manage kitchen operations, staffing, and costs. The role includes hiring, training, inventory control, cost management, and ensuring health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of culinary management experience with prep list responsibility.
• Experience in inventory, cost of goods, and financial control in a kitchen.
• Proven ability to lead a kitchen team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for operational excellence in the kitchen.
• Delegate tasks and direct all kitchen staff.
• Interview kitchen management and staff candidates.
• Develop Sous Chefs and kitchen staff through ongoing training.
• Prepare work schedules for Sous Chef and staff.
• Maintain safety certification requirements for kitchen staff.
• Manage inventory, cost of goods, and overall financial controls.
• Ensure health inspections are passed and standards met.
• Supervise training for food prep and recipe execution.
• Maintain proper timing and production for orders.
• Conduct performance appraisals for staff.
• Enforce dress code and product quality standards.
• Oversee prep lists and ordering guides; open/close checklists.
• Oversee maintenance of kitchen equipment and facility.
• Know how to work all kitchen stations proficiently.
• Provide a clean, safe environment for staff and guests.
