Job summary

As Executive Chef, you’ll lead daily kitchen operations, develop your team and deliver meals that make a difference for patients, guests and hospital staff at Morrison Healthcare in Charleston.

Candidates must live in the Charleston area or be willing to relocate; relocation assistance is available. Hands-on chef with tenure and a track record of leading teams and delivering quality food.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience.
• Solid tenure with growth in responsibility.
• Hands-on cooking skills and experience leading a culinary team.
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cost controls, sanitation, and presentation.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, presentation and service consistency.
• Plan menus meeting guidelines and dietary needs.
• Train and coach staff on cooking techniques and safety.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and waste to control costs.
• Use production sheets and logs to keep the kitchen organized.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and readiness for inspections.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve operations and client satisfaction.
