Job summary

Morrison Healthcare in Charleston, SC is seeking an Executive Chef to lead daily kitchen operations, develop your team and deliver meals that meet patient and staff needs. This hands-on role requires a track record of leadership and high-quality food production.

You will oversee food quality, production, purchasing and safety while bringing fresh ideas and strong leadership to the kitchen. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience.
• Strong tenure with growth in responsibility.
• Hands-on cooking and experience leading a culinary team.
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations.
• Catering experience a plus.
• Associates degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience.
• ServSafe certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations, maintaining food quality, presentation and service.
• Plan regular and modified menus meeting guidelines and dietary needs.
• Train staff on cooking techniques, food handling, equipment use and sanitation.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, portion sizes and costs.
• Use production sheets and waste logs to keep the kitchen organized and efficient.
• Maintain cleaning and equipment schedules and readiness for inspections.
• Partner with leadership to improve operations and client satisfaction.
