Morrison Healthcare is seeking an Executive Chef in Charleston to lead daily kitchen operations, develop the team and deliver high-quality meals for patients and staff. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, culinary expertise and a track record in high-volume foodservice.

You will oversee menu planning, food safety, purchasing, and cost controls while driving continuous improvement and team development. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience.
• Hands-on cooking skills and leadership of a culinary team.
• Experience in high‑volume, complex foodservice operations.
• ServSafe certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations and ensure quality, presentation, and service.
• Plan regular and modified menus meeting dietary guidelines.
• Train and coach staff on cooking techniques, food handling, equipment use and sanitation.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, portions, and waste to control costs.
• Use production sheets and waste logs to keep the kitchen organized.
• Maintain cleaning and equipment schedules and ensure readiness for inspections.
• Partner with foodservice leadership to improve operations and client satisfaction.
