Job summary

Charleston, SC-based Morrison Healthcare is seeking an Executive Chef to lead daily kitchen operations, develop the team and deliver meals that support patient and staff needs. This hands-on leadership role requires a track record of tenure and strong culinary skills.

You will oversee food quality, production, purchasing and safety while bringing fresh ideas and strong leadership to the kitchen. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of culinary leadership and kitchen management experience.
• Demonstrated growth in responsibility across roles.
• Hands-on cooking skills with team leadership experience.
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food production, sanitation, presentation and cost controls.
• Catering experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, presentation and service.
• Plan regular and modified menus meeting dietary guidelines and client needs.
• Train and coach staff on cooking techniques, food handling, and sanitation.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, portion sizes and waste to control costs.
• Use production sheets and waste logs to keep the kitchen organized and efficient.
• Maintain cleaning and equipment schedules and readiness for inspections.
• Partner with leadership to improve operations and client satisfaction.
