Job summary

Charleston, SC-based Morrison Healthcare is seeking an Executive Chef to lead daily kitchen operations, develop your team, and deliver meals that improve patient and guest experiences. The role requires hands-on leadership, a track record of quality and cost-conscious management, and relocation is available.

You will oversee food quality, production, purchasing, and safety while bringing new ideas and strong leadership to the hospital kitchen.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience.
• Demonstrated growth in responsibility across roles.
• Hands-on cooking skills and ability to lead a culinary team.
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations.
• Catering experience a plus.
• Associate degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based tools.
• ServSafe certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, presentation and service.
• Plan regular and modified menus meeting guidelines and dietary needs.
• Train and coach staff on cooking techniques, sanitation and equipment.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, portions and waste to control costs.
• Use production sheets and waste logs to maintain organization.
• Maintain cleaning and equipment schedules and prep for inspections.
• Partner with leadership to improve operations and client satisfaction.
