Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, seeks an Executive Chef to lead the hospital dining program, overseeing patient dining, retail cafés, and catering for a 242-bed facility. You’ll drive food quality, safety, budgeting, and menu development while mentoring a diverse culinary team.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and CMS, managing inventory and labor costs, and collaborating with clinical and hospital leadership to elevate patient and guest dining

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience managing high-volume, complex food service operations.
• Strong knowledge of patient dining programs and healthcare regulations.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all culinary operations for patient dining, retail cafés, and catering.
• Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Develop menus supporting patient satisfaction and nutrition.
• Train and mentor culinary staff in food safety and equipment use.
• Maintain compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, HACCP and regs.
• Manage inventory, purchasing and cost control to meet budgets.
• Monitor production, waste, and labor to improve efficiency.
• Partner with hospital leadership to enhance patient dining.
