Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an Executive Chef for a high-volume scratch kitchen in Montgomery, AL. This hands-on culinary leader will coach and develop the BOH team, drive food quality, and manage costs while upholding standards.

The role offers a base salary of $75,000–$85,000, uncapped profit-sharing typically $15,000–$20,000 annually and paid every four weeks, plus a strong benefits package and growth opportunities within a polished casual restaurant group.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of Executive Chef experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
• Scratch-kitchen experience required with hands-on butchering.
• Experience leading kitchen operations within a corporate restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all back-of-house operations for a high-volume restaurant.
• Develop, coach, and mentor Sous Chefs and hourly culinary team members.
• Drive food quality, consistency, execution, and sanitation standards.
• Manage food cost, labor, inventory, purchasing, and overall kitchen productivity.
• Hire, train, schedule, and retain high-performing BOH teams.
• Maintain strong inventory controls and vendor relationships.
• Ensure consistent execution of established recipes and operating procedures.
• Lead hands-on butchering and portion-control standards.
• Partner with the General Manager to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
