Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, seeks an Executive Chef to lead the Prisma Health System kitchen operations. You will drive food quality, safety, and cost controls while developing a strong culinary team to deliver patient and staff meals in a high-volume environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, menu development, and experience in institutional foodservice. Ideal candidates have an associate degree or equivalent culinary experience and familiarity with MS Office

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent culinary experience is required or strongly preferred.
• Hands-on chef leadership and 3–5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all culinary and kitchen operations.
• Develop regular and modified menus following guidelines.
• Ensure recipes, portioning and presentation standards are followed.
• Monitor food quality via production sheets, waste logs and tastings.
• Hire, train, develop and motivate kitchen staff.
• Train staff on food prep, equipment operation, safe handling and sanitation.
• Maintain cleaning and preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Manage inventory and control costs; ensure product availability.
• Oversee leftover food usage per company guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations; readiness for audits.
• Follow all safety policies and participate in staff meetings and development.
