Job summary

Eurest, part of Compass Group USA, is hiring an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations in a high-volume corporate dining environment in New York. You will lead culinary teams, ensure safety and sanitation, and execute meals per corporate standards across multiple sites.

The role requires hands-on cooking expertise, 5+ years of kitchen management, and a focus on quality, cost control, and client satisfaction. Strong computer and team leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience
• Hands-on chef experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation, and food cost controls
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Email and Internet

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines
• Follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards; completes daily production worksheets and waste logs
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation
• Establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas
• Maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies within guidelines
• Makes decisions on leftover food utilization within company guidelines
• Complies with health and sanitation regulations and audits
• Follows safety policies and participates in meetings and development programs
