Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to corporate guidelines. You will direct meal preparation, menu planning, and staff training while maintaining high standards of food safety and production efficiency.

You will lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, manage inventory, and collaborate on catering initiatives and client programs.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Extensive catering experience a plus.
• Hands-on chef experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
• Follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards; maintains production worksheets and waste log sheets.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, sanitation and equipment operation.
• Maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas.
• Maintains inventory to ensure product availability and cost control.
• Complies with health and sanitation regulations and audits.
• Supports safety policies and participates in meetings and development programs.
