The position emphasizes energetic, entrepreneurial culinary leadership with strong emphasis on quality, sanitation, and cost controls within a large-scale health system.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Hands-on chef experience required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation and kitchen operations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with high-volume, institutional dining and menu development.

Responsibilities

• Plans and modifies menus per guidelines and client needs.
• Oversees kitchen operations and ensures safe, sanitary work environment.
• Directs staff training in food preparation, safety and equipment operation.
• Maintains equipment maintenance and cleaning schedules.
• Manages food and non-food inventory within budget.
• Upholds health regulations and audits compliance.
• Speaks at department meetings and staff development events.
