Job summary

The Quoin Hotel & Restaurant in Wilmington, Delaware seeks an Executive Chef to oversee all kitchen operations, recipes, menu planning, portion control, inventory, budgeting, and supervision of kitchen staff. You will interview, hire, and train personnel; develop creative menus by researching market trends; assign daily tasks; ensure storage and food safety; and maintain premium guest dining standards.

The role requires a culinary degree and at least three years’ Sous Chef experience;

Qualifications

• Degree from a reputable Culinary School or College.
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Sous Chef.
• Knowledge of food safety procedures and knife handling.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, and train kitchen personnel.
• Research market trends to develop creative menu selections and concepts
• Establish the day's priorities and assign production and preparation tasks to staff to execute.
• Requisition the day’s supplies and ensure that they are received and stored correctly.
• Ensure that staff report to work as scheduled; document any late or absent employees.
