Job summary

Commonwealth Hotels is seeking a talented Hotel Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at The DoubleTree by Hilton Manhattan, Kansas. You will craft exceptional dining experiences, oversee all kitchen operations, and drive profitability while maintaining high sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Staff Management & Training: Oversee kitchen staff, ensuring productivity and maintaining food quality.
  • Daily Use Records: Inspect daily use records with the Executive Sous Chef to monitor yields and usage.
  • Waste Control: Monitor food pulling from storage, manage leftovers, and minimize waste.
  • Clear Communication: Provide clear verbal and written direction to staff to ensure consistency.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend associate meetings, solve operational challenges, and encourage open communication.
  • Housekeeping & Cleanliness: Enforce high sanitation standards and ensure compliance with the "clean as you go" policy.
  • Performance Monitoring: Evaluate staff performance, enforce procedural standards, and provide feedback.
  • Profitability & Cost Control: Drive revenue while controlling costs to maximize profitability.
  • Talent Development: Mentor and develop internal talent for future leadership roles.
  • Food & Banquet Management: Oversee all kitchen management, including banquets, ensuring quality preparation.

Key Responsibilities for the Hotel Executive Chef:
