Job Description
Reporting to the Culinary Services Director, the Executive Chef will be responsible for the preparation and serving of meals, sanitation of food service areas, accurate record keeping, receiving, rotating, inventory of products, and regulatory compliance. Salary starting at $27/hour.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare and serve quality meals
  • Ensure special dietary needs are met and prepare texture-modified foods as directed
  • Ensure compliance with all record keeping, food safety, and risk management requirements
  • Monitor food preparation, storage, and handling to adhere to HACCP, labeling, and storage protocols
  • Maintain accurate temperature logs for hot and cold foods, refrigerators, and freezers
  • Participate in and attend all scheduled in-service training
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Maintain a current ServSafe certification or be able to obtain one
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items, and special diets; 1 year of supervisory experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong organizational, time management, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Physical Abilities

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell
  • Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs. using proper body mechanics
