Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Chief Financial Officer in Fresno, CA to lead the financial strategy and operations across three growing entities. You will partner with ownership and the CEO to drive performance, risk management, and long-term growth in the construction and infrastructure sectors.

This executive role offers broad visibility, ownership of capital planning, reporting, and process improvements, with an attractive compensation package of $175,000 to $250,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
• Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA).
• 5+ years of managerial accounting and financial management experience.
• Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff.
• Significant experience in the construction, heavy civil, and infrastructure sectors.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a multi-entity environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all financial operations of the company, including the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems.
• Directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.
• Analyzing the company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and budgets; issuing regular status reports to senior management.
• Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
• Developing and coordinating relationships with lending/financial institutions.
• Developing and maintaining accounting policies and systems, ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management; defining reports for tracking.
• Coordinating monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; coordinating tax schedules and information.
• Managing relationships with insurance providers and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Overseeing audit and internal control operations; preparing detailed reports on financial performance.
• Coordinating with external auditors and managing internal controls.
