Job summary

Selective Insurance seeks a senior leader for its Claims BI & Analytics team to drive analytics-driven decision making, develop an analytics roadmap, and deliver insights across underwriting and claims. The role emphasizes leading BI initiatives, collaborating with IT, and advancing data capabilities in a complex insurance environment.

Responsibilities include defining metrics, dashboards, and reporting, guiding strategic analytics projects, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure adoption

Qualifications

• College degree preferred with 10 years in Underwriting, Claims, Loss Control, or financial services.
• 5+ years specific Claims experience preferred.
• 5+ years experience leading teams to deliver complex BI projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead BI strategy and define metrics, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions.
• Monitor factors influencing underwriting and claim performance to drive growth and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to solve business problems and deliver insights.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, readiness, deployment, and change management for knowledge management.
• Develop data-driven decision making and identify opportunities to upgrade data sources.
• Partner with IT to develop and support the data warehouse and BI environment.
• Compile and maintain detailed claim metrics to quantify benefits from BI projects.
