The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President for Engineering, Construction, and Planning to lead Facilities Management. This role directs strategic planning, program management, and contract administration for campus construction and engineering initiatives.

You will oversee capital projects, budgeting, and energy-efficient practices, while guiding a team of engineers and professionals to ensure alignment with university goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with ten years of related work experience and 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Certification/licensing in Texas as a Professional Engineer or Architect or ability to obtain within six months is required.
• Additional qualifications include leadership with executive management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in planning, design, construction, and renovation of campus infrastructure.
• Oversee budget, scheduling, quality control, and contract administration for capital projects.
• Lead facilities planning, space utilization, and long-term capital improvement efforts.
• Manage compliance with building codes and regulatory standards.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing facilities management team.
• Collaborate with university leadership and external partners to align projects with institutional goals.
