Job Title: Executive Assistant

Location: Washington, DC

Compensation: $70,000–$85,000 (based on experience)

Job Description:

Addison Group is seeking a highly organized and experienced Executive Assistant to support the President of a leading nonprofit public policy organization based in Washington, DC. This is a full-time, on-site role that offers a unique opportunity to provide high-level administrative support to the executive office of a respected organization focused on national and global policy.

This position is best suited for a professional who is deeply committed to a long-term career in executive support and thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. The ideal candidate is poised, highly adaptable, and capable of managing shifting priorities with grace and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and coordinate complex scheduling and calendar management for the President and senior leadership.
  • Organize logistics for internal and external meetings, including travel arrangements, materials preparation, room bookings, and hospitality.
  • Support the creation, proofreading, and distribution of board materials, including printed and digital formats.
  • Monitor and manage the President’s email inbox and physical mail with discretion.
  • Draft and send correspondence on behalf of executive leadership.
  • Track action items from meetings and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Manage internal contact lists and information in systems such as Salesforce.
  • Submit expense reports and manage departmental purchases (e.g., Amazon Business account).
  • Handle inbound phone calls and general administrative support for the executive team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred).
  • 2–5 years of Executive Assistant experience, ideally within the nonprofit sector.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce experience is a strong plus.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to remain composed under pressure and adapt to last-minute changes.
  • Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and professionalism in high-level interactions.
  • Commitment to a long-term career in the Executive Assistant profession.
  • Ability to occasionally support outside of standard business hours as needed.

Additional Details:

  • Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (fully on-site). Occasional after-hours support may be required.
