Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Senior Principal AI Business Partner to shape AI investments, portfolio prioritization, and delivery standards across business units. You will align sponsors, technology leaders, and delivery teams on where to invest, how to structure engagements, and how to scale proven AI capabilities.

You will mentor other AIBPs, define enterprise patterns, and guide complex programs from discovery to value realization, balancing hands‑on work with orchestration at scale.

Qualifications

• Typically 12+ years of relevant experience, including leading AI or digital initiatives in complex enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring senior ICs or leading a cohort of technical product leaders.
• Executive presence with credibility at C-suite, CIO, and engineering leadership levels.
• Experience partnering with engineering and data science leaders as a technical peer and thought partner.
• Familiarity with operating models, playbooks, or COE standards adopted across portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Enterprise Problem Framing & Portfolio Prioritization: identify enterprise problems with AI potential and frame opportunities with rigor for investment decisions.
• Enterprise AI Solution Design & Standards: contribute to architectural decisions and reusable AI patterns adopted across teams.
• Product & Specification Leadership at Scale: set standards for specs, use cases, and acceptance criteria across sponsored programs.
• Complex Program & Early‑Stage Leadership: lead POCs and early production efforts, orchestrating cross‑functional teams when scaling.
• Portfolio Leadership, Mentorship & Cross‑Functional Influence: co‑lead portfolio management and mentor AIBPs.
