Job description

ADM is seeking an Executive Administrative Assistant with growth potential within the Department of State Overseas Operations, located in Roslyn, VA. Join our team of outstanding professionals!

Responsibilities
  1. The EAA performs clerical, administrative, and program tasks supporting DS/IP/OPO, including managing the Office Director's schedule, preparing documents, maintaining records, handling correspondence, and coordinating communication.
  2. The EAA oversees administrative services, ensuring efficient support across three divisions, and monitors information flow between senior management and divisions.
  3. The EAA trains administrative personnel and helps develop processes and procedures for the divisions.
  4. The EAA performs additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Office Director.
Qualifications
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or four years of relevant experience, including two supporting Foreign Service Officers, plus an additional four years of general administrative experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interfacing with senior officials.
  • Ability to guide and coordinate administrative efforts across divisions; organizational skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Experience with administrative/clerical processes, including support functions like travel, training, payroll, and correspondence.
  • Familiarity with foreign affairs agencies; willingness to travel overseas up to 10%; no impediments to travel to countries considered dangerous or unhealthful.
  • Secret clearance required.
