Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Torrance, CA seeks a senior Business Development Manager, Account Director to sell Air & Sea transport and logistics services to new and existing clients with multi-modal solutions. The ideal candidate brings an elite sales profile, active pipeline, and track record of quota achievement.

You will leverage local market knowledge, executive relationships, and cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric logistics strategies and competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• At least 5 years of successful sales experience in international freight forwarding, preferably Air & Sea logistics.
• Current management of at least $1.5M+ in revenue or $250K+ in GP, with growth and client expansion.
• Experience selling complex Air & Sea forwarding solutions through international logistics providers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, GP, and growth targets.
• Generate immediate qualified pipeline through hunting, prospecting, executive outreach, and expansion of existing relationships.
• Lead complex RFQs/RFPs and sell integrated, multi-modal forwarding solutions across air, ocean, customs brokerage, and value-added logistics.
• Establish, maintain, and expand executive-level relationships with clients and conduct business reviews.
• Collaborate with operations, pricing, product, and trade lane teams to meet customer requirements.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service solutions with customers.
• Manage the sales pipeline and CRM with accurate data.
• Stay informed on industry trends and local market developments and report to management.
