Job summary

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies is seeking candidates for the Excess & Surplus - Associate Production Underwriter Trainee class beginning January 2027. The role reports to our Fairfield, OH headquarters and includes a pay rate of $28.85 hourly, with $60,000 yearly upon successful training completion.

Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of insurance-related work experience and an Associate in Insurance (AINS) designation.
• Candidates who graduated within the last five years must submit official or unofficial transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Assist independent agents with excess and surplus commercial lines insurance policies.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of underwriting concepts, lines of coverage, and company appetite for risk.
• Appropriately price new business and renewal accounts with consideration to segmentation, net rate, and exposure targets.
• Meet department service standards for new business and renewal issuance.
• Respond to inquiries in a timely manner and research to resolve issues for internal and external customers.
