Job summary

Ategrity Specialty Insurance Company is seeking an experienced underwriter to join our Middle Market Casualty practice in a dynamic SME-focused team. You will manage a growing product line and maintain existing business through proactive account relationships to drive profitability.

Reporting to the AVP, Excess Casualty, you will navigate a specialized underwriting approach, focus on Construction, Hospitality, and Residential Real Estate segments, and contribute to a high-performance culture

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of E&S casualty experience and knowledge of underwriting processes.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative and able to work in a team.
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
• High energy and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Salary is commensurate with experience and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and underwrite new and renewal excess casualty business, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our partners.
• Access risk acceptability in accordance with underwriting guidelines and authority.
• Maintain standards of excellence through effective communication.
• Develop understanding of coverage forms, rating plans, and guidelines for pricing risks.
• Ensure adequate pricing by proper classification and accurate information.
• Achieve growth goals by owning your business objectives.
• Build a diversified portfolio with renewal potential.
