Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking an exceptional children (EC) teacher assistant to support the assigned teacher and work with EC students under supervision. You will help guide students toward IEP goals, assist with access to general education, and carry out district policies under the principal’s direction.

The role requires collaboration with teachers, behavior management, data collection to document progress, and routine classroom duties across multiple school settings.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher education equivalent required.
• Completion of required in-service and apprenticeship program as listed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the assigned teacher and EC students to reinforce learning concepts.
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, and other school areas.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with attendance procedures.
