Knife River Corporation seeks an Excavator Operator for our Texas operations. The role involves night shifts (typical schedule 6:00 PM–6:00 AM, Monday–Friday with Saturdays as needed) and performing site inspections, rock excavation, and material transfer.

Applicants should have prior experience with CAT 374 excavators and background in aggregate plants or mines. Safety, licensure, and a clean pre-employment screen are required. Benefits and equal opportunity employment are provided.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Typical schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00PM - 6:00 AM with frequent Saturday work. Hours may vary depending on weather and customer demand.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)

• Safety first attitude required
• Previous experience operating CAT 374 (200k lbs.) Hydraulic Excavator
• Previous experience working at aggregate plants or mines
• Able to provide and maintain the proper licensure and driving record
• Ability to pass a criminal background and pre-employment drug screen

• Knowledge of plant operation, conveyor systems, and maintenance.
• Must have good mechanical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Need positive attitude and the ability to work well with others and follow directions.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

• Extensive walking on uneven surfaces.
• Lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
• Exposure to dust, fumes, odors.
• Hand eye coordination.
• Exposure to mists, adhesives, acids.
• Frequent and/or extended periods requiring kneeling, bending, and/or twisting.
• Operating equipment at night under artificial lighting.
• Working in all weather conditions for extended period of time
