Job summary

Webber, a Ferrovial company, based in Houston, TX, seeks an experienced crawler/rubber-tired machine operator for heavy civil and infrastructure projects. You will operate excavator-mounted machinery, loading trucks, and placing rock and precast structures while maintaining rigorous safety standards.

Qualifications

• Heavy physical activity for day-to-day tasks in outdoor environments.
• Manual dexterity for precise machine operation and handling.
• Adherence to safety policies and procedures on site.

Responsibilities

• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
• Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materials.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
• May oil, grease, or otherwise service the machine.
• Make necessary adjustment to equipment as needed.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
