Job summary

Ferrovial, a global infrastructure leader, invites applications for a heavy equipment operator on Webber projects. You will operate crawler or rubber-tired machines with excavator buckets to dig, trench, lay pipe, and place rock riprap across demanding sites.

This role requires heavy physical work outdoors, strict safety adherence, and coordination with truck crews. Prior construction experience is valued; training is provided for field methods and BIM-supported tools.

Qualifications

  • Operates a crawler or rubber-tired machine mounted with an excavator bucket for digging, ditching, and mass excavations.
  • Heavy physical activity required in outdoor conditions.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Less than a high school diploma with related construction experience.

Responsibilities

  • Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
  • Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materials.
  • Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
  • May oil, grease, or otherwise service the machine.
  • Make necessary adjustments to equipment as needed.
