Job summary

Stella Construction & Home Services in Boston, MA is seeking an experienced Excavator / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. You will operate excavators and other heavy equipment to support site preparation, trenching, and earthmoving on residential renovations in the Metro-North and Greater Boston area.

The ideal candidate has proven experience with excavators and skid steers, holds a valid hoisting license and heavy equipment certification, and can read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating excavators and skid steers.
• Valid heavy equipment operator certification or equivalent training.
• Valid hoisting license required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy equipment for excavation, trenching, site preparation, and earthmoving.
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and site plans.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Collaborate with supervisors, site managers, and team members to complete assigned work.
• Follow all applicable safety regulations, company policies, and municipal guidelines.
