Job summary

Stella Construction & Home Services in Boston, MA is seeking an experienced Excavator / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. You will operate excavators, skid steers, and other heavy equipment to support site preparation, trenching, and earthmoving activities on residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, performing routine maintenance, and collaborating with supervisors to complete work safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating excavators and skid steers.
• Experience with mini and full-size excavators.
• Valid heavy equipment operator certification or equivalent training.
• Valid hoisting license required.
• Strong knowledge of excavation techniques, trenching, and site preparation.
• Experience driving a dump truck.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints.
• Ability to perform physical labor and assist with tasks beyond equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and heavy equipment for excavation and earthmoving.
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and site plans.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of machinery.
• Assist with concrete work and general labor as needed.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete work safely.
