Job summary

Clean Harbors in Linden, NJ is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate an Excavator and Backhoe for Mix Pit operations. Responsibilities include solidifying, moving trucks, offloading, sampling, rail movements, and other duties as assigned by management.

Pay is $30 with a 1st shift, open for flexibility. The role requires operating yellow iron and basic computer skills, with safety as a top priority. Join a team focused on safety and growth with CDL-like responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience operating an excavator, backhoe and/or roll-off truck.
• Able to operate yellow iron (backhoe, excavator, front end loader).
• Minimal computer skills.
• Wearing PPE and safety gear at all times.
• Available to join the snow team in the cold months.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize Health and Safety and follow safe work practices.
• Operate backhoes and roll-off trucks, Forklifts.
• Operate excavators and backhoes safely and efficiently.
• Assist with moving drums as necessary.
• Ensure equipment is used per SOPs and reports paperwork for waste tracking.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Follow OSHA regulations and site safety procedures.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and crew members.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
