Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking an Equipment Operator to transport materials around the facility on day/night shifts. You will support production flow and uphold safety, environmental, and operational goals.

Duties include daily equipment maintenance and safety checks; operate bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, graders, and haul trucks. Requires 1–2 years' experience and a high school diploma or GED. Arcosa offers competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience.

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance.
• Positive, Team-based attitude.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• Ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy).
• Very organized.
• Good, detailed communication skills.

• Adjust hand wheels and depress pedals to operate attachments and machines such as bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, graders and haul trucks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an Equipment Operator based out of our Elizabeth, NJ location to transport materials throughout the facility on day/night shift in our East Region. This role is responsible for maintaining efficient production flow and supporting site safety, environmental, and operational goals.

Day to Day

• Actively promote and willingly support a safety conscious culture. Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
• Responsible for daily equipment greasing, morning “walk arounds” and fluid checks. Complete daily maintenance checklist to ensure your equipment is properly maintained, and to ensure the proper preservation of equipment maintenance records.
• Adjust hand wheels and depress pedals to control attachments such as blades, buckets, scrapers, and swing brooms. Start engines, move throttles, switches and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines such as bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, graders and haul trucks.
• Other duties as assigned as assigned.

Working Conditions

While most areas have air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.

Compensation

$22.64 - $26.52 HRLY
