Job summary

Clean Harbors in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate excavators and backhoes for the Mix Pit operations on 1st shift.

You will drive a variety of yellow iron, perform safety checks, move drums, complete paperwork, and maintain a clean, organized site while following OSHA guidelines. Experience with roll-off trucks and forklifts is preferred, and the role may involve joining the snow team in winter; Clean Harbors offers benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience operating excavator/backhoe/roll-off truck.
• Able to operate yellow iron equipment.
• Wears PPE and follows safety policies.
• Available for snow team in winter.
• Must be clean shaven (mustache okay).

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety in all tasks.
• Operate excavators and backhoes safely and efficiently.
• Operate backhoes, roll-off trucks, and forklifts.
• Move drums as needed and assist with waste tracking paperwork.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and work with site supervisors.

Clean Harbors in Cincinnati, OH is looking for a Equipment Operator will be operating an Excavator and Backhoe for our Mix Pit operations.

Pay: Up to $28 DOE (Yard driver experience preferred)

Shift: 1st shift

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Operates backhoes and roll-off trucks, Forklifts;
• Operate excavators and backhoes safely and efficiently
• Assists with moving drums as necessary;
• Assures unit is never operated in an unsafe manner or in a manner which is inconsistent with Standard Operating Procedures;
• Complete and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations
• Work closely with site supervisors and crew members
• Maintain a clean and organized job site

Qualifications

• Able to operate yellow iron (backhoe, excavator, front end loader)
• Minimal computer skills
• Loading unloading bulk liquids & solids
• Forklift work
• Housekeeping
• Wearing PPE
• Available to join the snow team in the cold months.
• (Side note must be clean shaven – mustache okay)
• 1+ years’ experience in operating an excavator, backhoe and/or roll-off truck.
• Previous industrial labor experience considered an asset.
